The Leisure Centre
The sports hall will be the first in Blaenau to use a new rubber-based soft grip surface.
Will complement the new Abertillery Community Theatre and neighbouring comprehensive school.
The swimming pool will provide a unisex changing area with individual cubicles for parents and children.
Squash courts will be glass backed with spectator area.
A dance studio will feature wall to wall mirrors
The building stands 11.5 metres high, 40 metres wide and 54 metres long
The ground floor measures 2,487 square metres and the first floor 1,068 square metres.
The Sports hall measures 647 square metres making it the biggest in the borough.
Hopefully it will be opened April 2004
