The river is the Yarra, sometimes known as the upside down river for after rain it takes on a muddy appearance (hence upside down) and has its origins in my hometown of Warburton 60klms upstream. Melbourne is a busy cosmopolitan City with many Parks, and a reputation for great restaurants, and pavement cafes. Evenings are well catered for with many Nightclubs and Theatres. Often described as the cultural capital of Australia it is also its Sports capital. It is said that Melbournians will support anything and everything as long as it's sport. It is well served for transport around the City with a network of electric trams including city tour trams and also water craft which tour the river ways and service the Casino.
