The smart young lad in the photo on the left comes from Newbridge, Mr Stephen Morgan. At the time he couldn't wait to have his photograph taken in front of this Jones Bus.
The photograph on the right would be around the late Fifties and it shows Mr Andrew and Mrs Doris Callaghan at their home in Peny-bont Rd. Mr Callaghan worked in the Garw Seam, and was actively involved in trade union at the colliery, and Mrs Callaghan worked as a home help in the Cwmtillery area and would have been reasonably well known by people of that time (more info in Album Eight ).
