Album Three of Photos you have sent in

My thanks to you all for sharing your photos with us and please if you have any you wish displayed let me know?

I noticed that there was a photograph of some coal lorries being loaded with coal.
I recognised one of the lorries as belonging to my grandfather John Vaughan.  I have an excellent photograph of that vehicle with my father Charles Thomas Vaughan standing on the left and his workmate Jim Bradley. ( It was probable taken in the 1930's) Patricia Purkiss (nee Vaughan)

My grandfather started the coal business in Abertillery delivering with horse and cart.
My father eventually took over the coal business when my grandfather retired.
I also have another wonderful photograph of my grandfather John Vaughan taken at Cwmtillery Colliery (perhaps you could confirm this).
He is on the far right of the picture.  Not quite sure of the date on this one! Probably just after the 1st world war. Patricia Purkiss (nee Vaughan)
