Cwmtillery Carnival Poster Competition |
Cwmtillery Community Events Group are organising this years carnival and are running some events/fun evenings for the community to raise the required funds. The Community Events Group are also looking for volunteers, people who have a little time on their hands to make it all happen. The meetings are every Tuesday 4 pm in the St Paul's Hall. Everyone is welcome to join in....the more the better. Valleys Radio, Valley Radio live (999 & 1116am) from the Carnival flowed down the valley all day. Malcolm Jones Festival Park Owl Sanctuary Park Many different breeds of Owls were on display, many found or handed in by local people. Under supervision and protective gloves adults and children were allowed to hold these magnificent birds. Also along for the fly was a Buzzard. Carnival StallsWe are inviting people who would like a stall at the carnival to contact the Community First Office on 01495320561 by the 20th July 04. Auction There will also be an Auction on the day....a billiard cue, signed by Mark Williams. Raffle Tickets There are Raffle Tickets available for the Big Carnival draw (Only £ 2.00/ book or individual tickets 20p tickets each. Tickets are available from any member of the C.C.E.G. or from Gwynn's shop. Any donations are welcome. 1st prize is a holiday in the UK, 2nd a TV/DVD and various other prizes.

Competition for local children up to 16 years of age to design the Cwmtillery Carnival Poster. The criteria was, # It must be a A4 Poster size # Must mention the Carnival, Venue and Date e.g.. 28th August 04, Cwmtillery Jim Owen Memorial Hall and surrounding Areas, 10 am to 5.30 pm. The Winner would be invited to a Brewster Baer Party for up to 6 children at Ebbw Vale. |

A Cwmtillery in Bloom Competition for both Residence and Businesses. The judging took place between the 6th and 9th August 04. The prize for the Winners was presented at the Carnival event. |
