Local people met at St Paul's vicarage in November to
discuss how they could get involved in improving the beautiful buildings and
grounds of the church. As a result a group called "Friends of St Paul's which
is open to everyone, was set up. Areas to be targeted included. dangerous
steps, dead and overhanging branches, fallen headstones, brambles and fallen
leaves. Future developments suggested included, bulb planting, handrails,
new paths and steps low level lighting and benches. Members both within and
outside the church were invited to join, with an opening meeting on December
1st, and volunteers to join the first working party on December 2nd.
Donations in memory of a loved one, which will be used towards the work
being carried out can be sent by cheque payable to "Friends of St
Paul's. Most of this work will only be possible via Fund-raising, if you can
