New Play Area at the Jim Owen Memorial Field

In the next few weeks there will be a fenced play area {courtesy of NAfW} on the derelict area behind the Jim Owen Memorial Field. It will enable local, and visiting children and youths to play football, basketball etc in a suitable and safe environment. It is planned that the car park will be renovated and a play area for toddlers will be erected in the next financial year. There are many who will be disappointed that BGCBC could not identify funding for a bowls green but it is hoped that the community will feel pleased that the young people and children of Cwmtillery will be able to enjoy this much needed facility.
