The Blaina outfit was up for this return fixture having been turned over by their visitors 40-10 earlier in the season. The well drilled Blaina outfit with a fine mixture of youth and experience combined well and went into a 10 point early lead but Cwmtillery clawed themselves back to 10-10 at half time.
With Cwmtillerys squad depleted it resulted in a limited bench that they could call on and were unable to replace tired legs. Cwmtillery dominated the opening period of the second half but was unable to capatalise due to Blaina's strong defence. Replacement centre, Ryan Davies tackled to the end and was only forced off due to injury as was young flanker Jonathon Price both with shoulder injuries. In the final 10mins, Blaina struck several times to take a 21 point lead to end the score 31-10 to the home side.
